Welcome to Gator WISE! - Weekend Institutes in Science Explorations at the University of Florida designed exclusively for high school science enthusiasts, and those interested in medical fields and hands-on science research activities. At the University of Florida, we believe that the best way to ignite a love for science is through direct experience, and Gator WISE provides an immersive journey into the world of research and discovery in medicine, genetics, environmental sciences and beyond.
You’ll spend your day immersed in engaging labs, conducting experiments, taking with UF researchers and medical professionals, and discover your inner scientist. Our experienced mentors will guide you through a variety of experiments and you can discover the latest in science innovation by listening to guest speakers who are leaders in their respective fields - offering you a rare chance to interact with and learn from professionals actively shaping the future of science.
